The Town of Leesburg in Virginia <br />Leesburg Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 7, 2019 <br />The Leesburg Planning Commission met on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Town Hall Council <br />Chambers, 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176. Staff members present included Susan <br />Berry Hill, Brian Boucher, Scott Parker, Rich Klusek, Russell Seymour, Shelby Caputo, and <br />Karen Cicalese. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman Kidder. <br />Members Present: Chairman Kidder, Commissioners Barnes, Barney (arrived at 7:05 pm), <br />Faliskie, Lanham, Nacy, and Walker and Council Member Dunn <br />ADOPTION OF AGENDA <br />Motion: Commissioner Lanham <br />Second: Commissioner Walker <br />Vote: 7-0 <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />February 21, 2019 Draft Minutes <br />Motions: Commissioner Walker <br />Second: Commissioner Barney <br />Vote: 7-0 <br />DISCLOSURE OF MEETINGS <br />Commissioner Lanham disclosed a brief telephone conversation with a member of Lennar's <br />team. <br />CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT <br />Chairman Kidder noted that there were a number of people in attendance and gave a brief <br />overview of the three public hearings on the agenda. She clarified that the Westpark public <br />hearing scheduled for this meeting dealt with the Town Plan amendment and not the rezoning. <br />The rezoning application will be heard at a separate public hearing on a date to be determined. <br />She encouraged those wishing to speak to the rezoning to do so during the Petitioners Section. <br />PETITIONERS <br />Paul Boyer, 1314 Hawling Place SW, Leesburg, VA 20176, came forward and expressed <br />concerns regarding the future of the Westpark Golf Course. He did not have an objection to the <br />proposed townhomes as long as the golf course could be saved. <br />1 <br />
